           Sausage Balls

 

1 pound hot sausage
2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cups baking mix (like Bisquick)
2 tablespoons grated onion
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Combine all ingredients; mix well. Roll into 1-inch balls. 
Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F. for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Drain and serve. Makes about 3 dozen.

           Sausage Cheese Balls

 

1 pound sausage meat (mild or hot)
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
3 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon melted margarine
In a skillet, brown the sausage with celery and onion; drain well. 
Combine sausage mixture with baking mix, egg, cheese, and margarine. 
Mix well; form into balls about 1 inch in size. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven on
 lightly greased or sprayed baking sheets for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned. 
Makes about 36 1-inch appetizers

 

     Sweet Potatoes Sausage Balls

 

3 cups biscuit mix
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cups sweet potatoes, mashed
1 pound sausage
Combine all ingredients well. Roll into balls and place on greased sheet pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, until brown.
