Cheese Sausage Balls
1 pound sausage meat (mild or hot)
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
3 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon melted margarine
In a skillet, brown the sausage with celery and onion; drain well. Combine
sausage mixture with baking mix, egg, cheese, and margarine. Mix well; form into
balls about 1 inch in size. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven on lightly
greased or sprayed baking sheets for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned.
Makes about 36 1-inch appetizers.
