Tex Mex Appetizers

 

Kat's Tamale Balls

 

1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic purée
3/4 cup tomato juice
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
Tex Mex Sauces


Combine beef and pork; add remaining ingredients. Mix well (it will be very dry). Roll into 1-inch balls.

Sauce
2 large cans diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons salt

Mix together in saucepan and simmer about 10 minutes. Next add tamale balls. Simmer until done.
