Beef Stew

 

Lynn's Hearty Beef Stew

21/2 Lbs beef chuck steak    
1/2 tesp black pepper
2 tbs cooking oil     
1/2 tesp paprika
4 cups beef broth   
dash allspice
1 tbs lemon juice  
1 lbs bag of baby carrots
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce  
1 lbs onion
1 clove minced garlic   
3 medium potatoes peeled & cubed
1 medium onion sliced    
2 tbs all purpose flour 
1-2 bay leaves       
1/4 cup cold water

cut meat into 11/4 inch pieces. Brown meat half at a time in a pot. Drain and put meat back in pot
stir in beef broth, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, sliced onion, bay leave, pepper, paprika, 
allspice bring to a boil. Cover reduce heat and simmer 1 to 11/4 hours or until beef is tender
Stir in carrots, onions and potatoes, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer thirty minuets. Discard bay leave
add flour to screw top jar and water shake till smooth and add to stew, stir until thicken.
 If you want add; can of tomatoes, mushroom or what you want.
