Beef Stew

 

Cullen's Texas Ranger Stew

 

11/2 lbs lean ground beef  
1/2 tesp salt
2 small onions chopped   
1/2 tesp pepper
1 28 oz can peeled whole tomatoes  
1/2 tesp thyme
1 14 oz can beef broth      
2 6-8 oz canned sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup ketchup       
1 cup uncooked quick cook rice
2 tbs Worcestershire


 Place a large skillet over medium high heat and add ground beef and onion. Cook, breaking up beef 
until beef is no longer pink, drain fat, add every thing but the rice,, bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered 5 min.
Stir in rice cover and set aside 5min.
