Sausage Gravy
1 pd hot sausage or Kat's Breakfast SausageSG14
all purpose flour milk
black pepper
Over low heat, cook 1 pound saugage until fully cooked
but not browned. Sprinkle 1/2 cup flour over sausage.
Stir flour into sausage and cook for several minutes over low heat.
Add desired amount of milk, stir briskly til gravy thickens Add pepper to taste
Granny's Coffee Sausage Gravy
1 lb. pork breakfast sausage Kat's
Breakfast SausageSG14
3 Tbls. bacon grease
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups milk
2 Tbls. black coffee
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Brown sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat; remove sausage from pan.
-Stir bacon grease into sausage drippings and return to medium heat.
-Stir flour into pan and cook, stirring constantly, until golden brown.
-Gradually whisk milk into pan.
-Cook until mixture begins to simmer, then add sausage, coffee, salt, and pepper
to pan.
-Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
-
