Granny's Southern Grits

 

3 (10 1/2 ounce) cans chicken broth
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 cup uncooked quick cooking grits
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Combine broth & whipping cream in a large sauce pan; bring to a boil. Add grits, stir & return to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to a simmer for 5-7 minutes. Stir in cheese. Cool 10 minutes.
