Mother Nancy's Biscuits

 

1 cup flour    
1 tbs sugar
2 tesp baking powder     
1 tbs vegetable oil
1/2 tesp salt        
milk

Mix the dry ingredients together cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or 2 knives
until well blended. Add milk until the dough is a sticky consistency.
Roll out on floured board to about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Cut with glass or gutter. Place in a lightly greased pan (Touching for soft biscuits apart for crispy) and bake 15 min in preheated 400 oven

Recipe can be doubled or tripled. 
To freeze place cookie sheet in freeze and when frozen put in bag. Try one of these  Butters
