Granny's Cooked Chicken Biscuits Peas Casserole
3 T butter
3 T flour
1 1/2 c chicken broth
2 c cooked chicken, cut into pieces
1 c cooked or canned peas, drained
1 (3-oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 medium carrots, cooked and sliced
1/4 c chopped onion
2 T chopped pimiento
1/2 tsp salt
1 pkg refrigerator biscuits
Melt butter; blend in flour. Gradually add broth. Cook and stir till thick.
Add chicken, vegetables, and salt; heat till bubbling.
Pour into 1-1/2 qt. casserole.
With scissors snip 6 biscuits in quarters. Arrange in ring, rounded side down,
atop hot chicken. (Bake remaining biscuits on baking sheet)
Bake casserole 425° 8-10 minutes or till biscuits are done.
