Lynn's Chicken Breasts Broccoli Stuffing Casserole

 

1 pkg frozen broccoli spears, thawed
1/2 cup sour cream
4 diced skinless breast
1 small onion-chopped
1/2 pkg Pepperidge farm cornbread stuffing (or bread crumbs)
1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of mushroom
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
margarine/butter

In saucepan cook chicken 1/2 way done in 3 T margarine with the onion. (until outside is white but inside is still pink)
Then add soups and sour cream to chicken. Heat this.
In a 9x13 inch dish put broccoli on the bottom of the pan. (I salted my broccoli a little at this point)
Then pour soup mixture over the broccoli and then add 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, then pour 1/2 bag of cornbread stuffing mix (dry) on top of the chicken mixture
Top with sliced margarine on the top.
Bake @350º for approximately 30-40 minutes
Serve over a bed of white rice
