Shanna's Whole Chicken Rice Casserole

 

1/4 lb butter 
1 whole fryer 
1 pkg. onion soup mix 
1-1/4 cups long grain rice (dry) 
1 can cream of mushroom soup 
Green onions and parsley 
Melt butter in large casserole dish - add rice, seasoned chicken. Cover with 1 cream of mushroom soup. Add onion soup mix and 2 cups of water. Sprinkle with paprika. Heat oven to 350F. Cook one hour. Add green onions and parsley. Chicken pieces or deboned chicken may be used.

Serves 10.
