Granny's Cuban Steak Soup
2 lb. meat (flank steak)
3 cloves of garlic, peeled
6 tomatoes
6 cups water
1/2 medium bell pepper
3 small potatoes cubed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cumin (cominos)
1 cup angel-hair pasta
1 small onion
1 bayleaf
Cut meat in quarters; boil it with all ingredients except angel-hair pasta and
potatoes. Once meat is done, take it out, drain through a colander and put
liquid back on range, over slow flame (add vegetables is desired). Add potatoes
and cook for 10 minutes. Add angel-hair pasta and pieces of meat; cook for
another 7 minutes or until pasta is ready. Serve with a piece of lemon or lime,
and avocado slices.
