Granny's Hot Mustard

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/3 cup + 1 Tbls. distilled white vinegar
2 Tbls. ground mustard seed
1 Tbls. granulated sugar
1 Tbls. vegetable oil
4 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. salt
10-14 drops hot sauce

Bring all ingredients to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
-Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
-Remove from heat and allow to cool.
-Pour into a sealable container, cover, and keep refrigerated
