James's Pork in Hole

8 0zs. pork sausage breakfast link            
( about 16 sausage)                                       
1 tablespoon vegetable oil                            
Scant 1/2 teaspoon salt                                  
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour                         
1) Heat oven to 450 degrees. Place              
sausages in a baking dish about 9 sq.           
in. by 3 sq. in Rub sausages with oil              
and oil bottom of pan. Bake until                  
lightly brown, about 15 min.                         
2) Mean while, whisk together milk eggs       
and salt in bowel and sit aside. When  sausage are nearly ready, add flour to milk mixture and milk together 
3) transfer sausage to a plate and set aside Pour just enough batter into hot pan to
cover the bottom. Return to oven and bake until batter is set about 5 min. arrange sausage
 evenly across top of batter, and quickly pout in rest of batter. 
4) Return pan to oven and bake until batter billows up around sausage and has a crusty top about 25min. 
Serve immediately, because crust sinks when it cools.
