Lynn's Orange French Toast

5 eggs
2/3 cups heavy cream
1/3 cup orange-flavored liqueur
2 tbs sugar
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
2 tbs finely grated orange zest
2 tesp ground cinnamon
1 day old French bread cut into 1/2 " slices
6 tbs butter (3/4 stick)
confectioner sugar for dusting

Whisk eggs and cream until very light. Add liqueur, sugar, orange juice and zest
and cinnamon and blend well. Pour into pie plate. Melt about 2 tbs in a skillet,
dip bread into egg mixture, turning over and cover both sides. Add pieces to fit
and cook until golden on both sides, add butter as needed, sift sugar over each slice
and serve hot.
