Granny's Fried Chicken Livers
1 pt. chicken livers
1 med. size onion
3 c. water
3 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 c. cooking oil
1 c. flour
Heat oil in skillet on medium heat. Flour chicken livers. Fry them until they
are done. Remove chicken livers from skillet and set aside. Slice and brown
onion in skillet. Bring water to a boil and add beef cubes. Cook until beef
cubes dissolve. Put chicken livers back in skillet. Pour beef broth over chicken
livers and simmer until broth thickens.
Having
once decided to achieve a certain task, achieve it at all costs of tedium and
distaste. The gain in self confidence of having accomplished a tiresome labor is
immense.
