James's
Honey
Bourbon
Mustard
Ham
1 cup honey
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup bourbon
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 ham half about 6 to 8 pounds -- fully cooked
Combine the honey and molasses; heat in the microwave or in a pan on the stove
top. Stir in bourbon, orange juice, and mustard.
Remove all but about 1/4-inch of fat from the ham, then place in a roasting pan.
Bake at 325 for about 1 1/2 hours, or until a meat thermometer reaches 140
degrees (About 10 minutes per pound). Baste the ham occasionally with the
honey-bourbon mixture.
Transfer drippings to a saucepan and add remaining honey mixture; bring to a
boil. Slice ham and serve with the glaze
Hope
begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the
right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don't give up.
