Kat's  Pinto Beans

 

1 pound pinto beans, picked for rocks
2 tbs ranchero sauce  Cullen's Picante SauceSC16
3 each tbs soy sauce and red hot sauce
1 smoked ham hock or fat back
 salt & pepper
1 can beer
1 tbs garlic powder
water or beer

Put all in pan, cover with enough water to be 2 inches over beans. 
Cover and bring to a boil, boil 5 mins. Cut off heat and let stand 1 hr.
After 1 hour simmer, for 2 hours or until tender. Make sure beans are 
always covered with liquid, add water or beer.

Instead of any water you can substitute beer. For less fat eliminate ham or fat back.
