Lynn's Grilled Baby Octopus

 

2 lb baby octopus - (16 to 25 pieces) fresh or thawed
    Salt to taste
1/2 x onion minced
1/2 x red bell pepper minced
3 x garlic cloves - (to 4) minced
2 tbl soy sauce
1 tbl Korean sesame oil
1 tsp Korean red chile powder
1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper

 Method :
Clean octopus. Sprinkle octopus with salt to taste and rub on for about a minute. Rinse in cold water. Drain. Repeat. Pat dry with paper towels.
Combine onion, bell pepper, garlic, soy sauce, oil, chile powder and pepper in bowl. Coat octopus generously with seasoning. Grill over medium-high heat, moving around grill so octopus cooks evenly, 3 to 4 minutes.
This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
