Granny's Oyster Cheese Casserole

 

1 qt Oysters
    Milk
2 cup Cracker crumbs
1/2 cup Butter
1 x salt and pepper to taste
1 cup Grated sharp cheese
    Paprika

 Method :
Drain oysters, reserving liquid. To this liquid, add enough milk to make 2 cups. Melt butter and add to crumbs. In a casserole place a layer of crumbs, then a layer of oysters. Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with cheese. Continue alternating, ending with a layer of crumbs. Pour reserved oyster liquid over the top. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake in a preheated 350 over for 20 to 30 minutes.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
