Blackberry Pie
1 quart fresh blackberries, washed & drained
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie
1 tablespoon butter
Mix blackberries with sugar, salt, and flour. Fill pastry lined pie pan. Dot
with butter. Adjust top crust and cut 3 or 4 slits in the top. Bake in a
preheated 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 25
minutes longer.
Serves 6 to 8.
Where it is a duty to worship the sun it is pretty sure to be a
crime to examine the laws of heat.
