Apple Crumb Stuffed Pork Chops

4 (1" thick) pork chops, cut with pockets
Apple-Crumb Stuffing (recipe below)

1 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 c. diced apple
3 tbsp. minced onion
3 tbsp. raisins, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. sugar
Pinch of pepper
Pinch of ground sage
1 1/2 tbsp. butter, melted
Combine all stuffing ingredients and mix well.
Stuff pockets of pork chops with Apple-Crumb Stuffing. Secure with wooden
picks. Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in a large, heavy skillet; brown pork chops on both sides. Add
water; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 50-55 minutes or until pork chops are
tender
