Tex Mex Rice & Beans

 

Kat' Cheese  Refritos

 

2 thick slices bacon  
2 to 3 tbs picante sauce 
2 cups cooked pinto beans Kat's Pinto BeansRTM18 or 1 17 oz can refried beans
1 small onion chopped
Salt, pepper and garlic powder
1 cup Cheddar cheese grated (optional)

In a skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan. Add bacon to bacon dripping. Cook
until tender. Add beans. Crumble the bacon and add to beans. warm over low heat.
Add seasoning and picante. Add cheese when served or as a dip or side dish. When using
 for chalupas, do not add cheese.
