Tex Mex Rice & Beans

 

Granny's Quick Tex Mex Rice

 

tablespoon canola oil
1 1/2 cups Instant Rice
1 cup  Salsa, any flavor
1 1/2 cups water or chicken broth

Heat a heavy skillet over high heat for 2 minutes. Add oil and rice. Stir-fry the rice for 1 minute or until golden.

 Add salsa and water to fried rice and bring rice mixture to a boil. Cover rice, reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes or until rice is fluffy. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Temptation rarely comes in working hours. It is in their leisure time that men are made or marred.
