Kat's Spinach Salad
1 quart fresh spinach leaves, washed, stemmed
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 cup crisp bean sprouts
2 green onions, thinly sliced
4 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled
Sweet-Sour Dressing
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup salad oil
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Preparation Tips:
1. Prepare spinach. Turn into a large salad bowl or into 4 individual salad
bowls or plates.
2. Sprinkle the mushrooms and bean sprouts over the spinach. Sprinkle with the
onion.
3. Top with the bacon.
4. To prepare the salad dressing, measure all the ingredients into a jar. Cover.
Shake until blended.
5. Offer the salad dressing at the table for each guest to spoon over the salad.
Store extra salad dressing, covered, in the refrigerator.
