Salisbury & Smothered Steak

 

Granny's Smothered Steak & Rice


4 cubed steaks
Flour (about 1/2 cup)
1/4 c. oil
Seasoned salt
Pepper
1 med. onion, sliced
1 can Spanish rice
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. parsley flakes
Coat cubed steaks with flour. In large skillet brown steaks in oil; remove to baking dish. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper. Saute onion slices in skillet drippings. Add Spanish Rice and sugar. Pour rice mixture over steaks. Sprinkle with parsley flakes. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
