James's Tomato Meat Sauce

 

8 oz. lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 large tomatoes, peeled, seeded and diced
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 cup red wine

combine beef, onion and garlic in a large skillet; cook until meat is no longer pink. Set aside. In blender, combine remaining ingredients; process for 30 seconds. Add tomato mixture to meat; simmer about 20 minutes.
