Granny's White Creams Sauce
2 tbs butter
2 tbs flour
1 cup milk
Salt, pepper and cayenne
Melt the butter in top of double boiler over hot water; stir in flour
and let mixture cook for a few mins.
Do not let it color. Add milk and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce is
smooth and thickened.
Add seasonings to taste. If sauce is to be left standing for some time before
using float a tbs butter over
top to prevent skin from forming. Stir this into sauce before using.
