Hot Dog Sauce
1 cup chopped onions
2 green bell peppers, chopped
2/3 cup sweet pickle relish
1/2 cup cider vinegar
2 cups chili sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
few dashes hot pepper sauce or ground cayenne pepper
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes,
stirring occasionally.
Makes 3 cups of hot dog sauce, enough to serve with 3 pounds of hot dogs.
We know what happens to people who stay in the middle of the
