    Granny's 6 Different  Butter Milk Dressing

 

 

1 1/2 c Buttermilk
1 Clove garlic -- crushed
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 c Red wine vinegar
2 ts Prepared horseradish
1 ts Dill weed
1 ts Mild paprika

Puree everything together in a blender or food processor. Yield: 2 3/4 cups.

 

            Butter Milk Dressing 2

2 c Buttermilk
1/2 ts Garlic powder
2 1/4 tb Parsley flakes
1/2 ts Accent or MSG
2 c Mayonnaise
1 ts Onion powder
1 3/4 ts Salt
1/2 ts Pepper

Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Chill at least 4 hours.
Dressing will keep 2-3 weeks in 'fridge. Recipe can be halved, doubled, etc. easily

 

              Butter Milk Dressing 3

1/2 c Buttermilk;
1/4 c Plain low-fat yogurt;
2 ts Dijon-style mustard;
1 1/2 tb Cucumber; peeled seeded grated
1 Green onion;
2 ts Lemon zest; grated
2 ts Orange zest; grated
ds White pepper;

Blend all ingedients together and chill before serving. Makes about 3/4 cup. 12 servings

 

        Butter Milk Dressing 4

1/2 c Buttermilk
1/2 c Light (calorie-reduced) lowfat mayonnaise
3 tb Minced fresh parsley
3 tb Chopped chives
1 Clove garlic, minced
1 tb Minced fresh (or 1 ts dried) tarragon
1 tb Lemon juice
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Salt, coarse pepper, to taste

Gently fold ingredients together; refrigerate until serving time.
 Spoon over torn lettuce or mixed salad. Yield: Makes about 1 cup dressing

 

      Butter Milk Dressing 5

2 c Buttermilk, made from skim milk
1/4 ts Black pepper
1/2 ts Garlic powder
1/2 ts Salt (omit for low sodium di
1/2 ts Dried parsley flakes
1/4 c Finely cut green onions

Mix all ingredients thoroughly, preferably in a blender at low speed for 30 seconds. Put into a pint jar, cover tightly, and store in the refrigerator for a few hours before using

1 cup mayo
1/3 cup buttermilk
2 tbs rice wine vinegar
1 tbs mustard seed
1 tbs ground cardamom
1/4 cup each honey an dijon mustard

 Mix together all and chill
