Smothered Chicken
Kat's Cut Up Soup Mushroom Smothered Chicken
1 lg. frying chicken, cut up
Salt and pepper to season chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1/2 c. canned mushroom pieces and liquid
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 tbsp. soy sauce
Put frying chicken in oblong baking pan. Salt and pepper to season. Combine rest
of ingredients. Pour over chicken pieces. Cover with foil and bake at 350
degrees until tender, 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil and drain gravy to thicken.
Return chicken to oven 10 minutes. Serve with boiled potatoes.
