James's Slow Baked Squirrel
4 x Squirrels - (4 to 6) cut in half
Flour
Vegetable oil for browning
1 x Bay leaf
1/2 pkt Onion soup mix
10 3/4 oz Golden mushroom soup - (1 can)
1/2 x Soup can of milk
Method :
Roll squirrel pieces in flour and then brown in hot oil in skillet. After
browning, remove pieces from skillet and place in a deep oven casserole with
cover. In a small bowl, mix rest of ingredients and pour mixture over squirrels.
Cover and cook in a 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender.
Allow 1 squirrel per person.
