Tex Mex Eggs
1 loaf of French bread, cubed
1 pound ground Italian sausage
1 pound ground chorizo sausage
1 pound grated Monterrey & cheddar cheeses
5 eggs
1/2 cup picante sauce
3 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
3/4 cup vermouth
5 sliced jalapenos sliced
This
is prepared the night before. Spray 9x13 pan with Pam. Saute sausage until fully
cooked. Layer French bread, top with sausage and then cheese. Combine eggs,
picante sauce, milk and mustard pour over top. Cover and let sit until the next
morning.
In the morning, before baking, top with mushrooms, jalapenos and vermouth. Bake
at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until set.
