Granny's Turtle Steak


 
INGREDIENTS

2 lbs turtle steak
1 onion chopped
1 sweet pepper chopped
tenderizer
garlic, oregano
culantro
vinegar, salt to taste
coconut oil for browning
 
METHOD:

1. Wash turtle thoroughly with vinegar. Tenderize sliced meat, add seasoning and let stand for 20 mins in dish with vegetables.
2. Heat small amount of oil in pan, brown meat, add remaining vegetables, add water as needed, cook until tender about 45 mins.
